Printed Dresses

Printed dresses bring colour and personality to any day. Choose florals, polka dots, animal prints and bold geometric patterns. Most are fitted pencil shapes, with some A-line and swing styles too. Every dress is designed and made in England. Many use light Ripple Crepe, ideal for weddings, garden parties and summer days out. Sizes run S to XXL. Many styles have a centre back vent for easy walking.

Prints with personality

A print does the styling for you. You need fewer accessories and less planning. It also hides small creases and marks better than a plain colour.

Our prints range from soft to bold. The Somerset and June are floral pencil dresses with a contrast waistband. The Eliza comes in several prints, including vintage rose, triangles and animal print. The Fenella polka dot has a playful vintage feel.

Shapes to choose from

  • Pencil: the Cynthia, Rita and Amorette are fitted and flattering.
  • A-line: the Aldeburgh, Carisbrooke and Islay give room to move.
  • Swing: the Shayla and Empire Rose have fuller skirts.

How to wear a printed dress

Pick one colour from the print and repeat it in your shoes or bag. Keep jewellery simple so the print stays the star. A plain jacket in navy or black calms a busy pattern.

Fabrics and choosing your print

Many prints use Ripple Crepe, which is light and breathable. Some use Stretch Cotton Sateen, with a soft sheen. Others use Bi-Stretch for a smooth, crease-resistant finish. Our fabric guide explains each fabric.

Smaller prints feel calm and are easy to wear. Larger prints make a bold statement. Contrast panels, like on the Cynthia, can shape the waist.

Prints with a dark base, like navy or black, feel slimming and smart. Light backgrounds feel fresh for spring and summer. Choose the print that makes you smile when you put it on.

Printed dresses FAQs

What sizes are printed dresses available in?

Most styles run S to XXL (UK 10 to 18). See our size guide for full measurements.

Are printed dresses OK for work?

Yes. Smaller prints in darker colours look smart in most offices. Add a plain jacket to calm the pattern for meetings.

Are these good for weddings?

Florals are a lovely choice for daytime weddings and garden parties. Avoid prints that are mostly white or ivory, out of respect for the bride.

Will the print look the same as the photos?

Prints can sit slightly differently on each dress, as the pattern is cut from the roll. Colours should match the photos closely.

Can I return a printed dress?

Yes, within 14 days in original condition with tags. See shipping and returns for details.
