The Psychology behind Corporate Work Wear

  • Black is - displays both power and sophistication.
  • Red - symbolises strength, action and passion. Which could all easily relate to the workplace with drive and interest playing a vital role.
  • Purple - symbolises imagination and art, which therefore could go down well if you're workplace career centres around artistic creations.
  • Yellow is said to symbolise happiness, positivity and creativeness. All of which we could each do in (and out) of the workplace!
  • Blue - a power colour, one that comes with both trust and loyalty, as well as success and confidence. A power colour is one that comes with empowerment. It not only can result in the person wearing it feel confident but it can also make those around them feel this way too.
  • Finally, last but not least, is one of our favourites: Green. Whilst it may seem obvious that green symbolises harmony and nature, it also exhibits both loyalty and prosperity.

What to Wear When You Have Colour Fear

It's believed that bright colours draw attention to the subject. Whether it be yourself in a dress or a newly painted wall in your office. Whilst this may be the case on some occasions the use of colour can be good. It can bring more positives to you for various reasons, including, but not limited to,:
However, we can appreciate that sometimes too much colour can feel overwhelming, to begin with. So, we suggest trying out dresses like the ones below that will slowly incorporate colour into your everyday style.
