How to wear Floral All Through the Year
Many items continually appear on-trend, jeans for example. And just like denim, floral prints and patterns are on-trend every season. Floral prints always work whether you choose to wear them on a dress, a top, on trousers or as part of your accessories. Here we're going to delve into the world of floral prints and where you can get your hands on each item. Floral dresses with sleeves There is just something about pairing floral patterns with dresses that instantly brings us into summer, even if it’s the middle of November! With so many patterns and designs available you’re really spoiled for choice when looking for floral dresses. Here we go through a few of our favourite sleeved floral prints to suit everybody. First up, we found this feminine lace-up waist midaxi dress. With a white rose floral design, blouson sleeves and a plunge neck we knew we were onto a winner! Just like the model pictured we'd opt for nude/white stilettos or if you’re looking for something a bit more comfortable to walk in we liked the look of these Hampton Block Mid-Heel Sandals, also ASOS. For our next suggestion, we thought we’d go into the office, something you can wear from office to restaurant is the perfect dress for us, we think! Our Diva Catwalk Eliza Contour Stretch 3/4 Sleeved dress is perfect. It comes in three stunning designs, including wildflower [pictured], waterlily and dancing fire. You could pair the dress with some KG nude courts, similar to those in the photo, or you could opt for these elegant navy heels that go nicely with the blue in the dress. With it dropping to just below the knee, it also offers an off-shoulder Bardot neckline, wrap hem detail and, of course, a vent at the centre back for ease of movement. We're nothing if the key to comfort with our fashion choices! Floral Tops for Spring Just because we’re slowly heading into Spring and can’t yet fully see summer, it doesn’t mean we can’t indulge in a little floral print on her tops. If the colder days put you off bearing your legs, so you opt for trousers, then you can be sure to find cute floral tops to put you back in the right lane. Our Branscombe top comes in two available patterns, one being this stylish Floral Mist Navy. Perfectly paired with navy or black trousers, you can be sure to make the right impression. Alternatively, we also have the Branscombe top in print which is Floral Taupe. It's a cotton blend print with a loose knot tie at the front, 3/4 sleeves and a gather detailing under the bust. Perfect for going from office to drinks. Both of these tops are currently on sale for £49 and £59, respectively. If you're looking for a more relaxed, casual ruffle floral blouse then we loved the look of this Lipsy number that comes in two different patterns (blue and pink). [pictured above] They’re perfect for everyday wear, and you also have the option to pair them with their very own skirt. Floral Trousers If you're the type of person who likes to wear prints, but subtle, then it's unlikely you'll have approached wearing them in trousers. However, we have found the most gorgeous pair of floral trousers that we predict will become a bestseller in the coming seasons. These Boden 'Pull-On Trousers' come in various shades. Our favourite is the black colour with the 'rainbow floral' print. Perfectly paired with a solid colour tank and a similarly shaded blazer, these trousers could be worn ideal with stiletto heels, court heels or even flat Converse. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to play it safe then there are plenty of other floral designed trousers that show flower-power without the bright colours. Floral Coats Whether it’s the height of winter or those summer evenings, if you’re in the UK then chances are you’re going to need a coat. So why not make it floral? At Diva Catwalk we stock this cute short floral jacket, which is perfect for spring/summer. The Fresno jacket, in shade Nightshade Bloom, has a flattering slightly-cropped fit. It’s a faultless choice when choosing to pair it with a pencil dress to keep things formal or with an oversized shirt and jeans for a casual vibe. Next, we have this Monsoon Ditsy Floral Quilted Jacket which was made for springtime. With cute florals decorating the lightly quilted coat and a round neckline, it goes perfectly with either a high or low neckline dress/top. Alternatively, if we’re experiencing the wet side of those summer days (which do happen, we know!) then like the look of this detachable sleeved coat. Besides it being such a stunning floral print it is also ideal for mid-year when we just don’t know what to wear! With optional long sleeves, you can simply remove them and wear the coat as a puffed Gillet. With a high collar, press-stud fastening, side pockets and elasticated cuffs, you have everything you need in a coat to get you through all seasons of the year. Floral accessories for hair Whether you choose to wear your floral patterns in your outfit or accessories, there are always spaces to add your floral fix to your hair. One of our favourite ways to easily implement floral patterns on your hair is by wearing a headband, like this cute gingham print from ASOS. Another cute way to implement floral into your hair, which looks perfect day or night, is to wear a back hair crown. A back hair crown is exactly like it sounds, it’s worn over the top of the head but instead of weighing over 1kg it weighs the same as a necklace or bracelet. Each hair crown sits elegantly on top of the hair, towards the back, and can come with or without a headband to attach around your head. A few of our favourite head crowns, that are perfect for spring/summer, include this ASOS Back Hair Crown with pearl and floral detail. Additionally, we also loved this Mini Floral Hair Crown from Coast. It’s perfect for those days at the beach, carnival or even when attending a summer wedding. Floral Bags Having a floral pattern on your bag can mean it can be worn in various ways. Whether you want to combine a floral look with a similar bag is your own choice, however, we also think a statement floral bag looks amazing with a staple solid colour outfit. We found a few floral bags that we love the look of, including this 60s, inspired Radley London Finsbury Park medium multiway available from Next. If bold, bright colours are your thing then we think this river island tote bag is perfect for day trips or just popping out for coffee. In fact, should a tote bag is what you’re after then we also have this ASOS Becksöndergaard floral shopper bag in our basket. And finally, if you prefer to opt for a rucksack then we have our eyes on this Vans Realm Field Floral. The bag has internal pockets, an organiser panel and a laptop sleeve - so it's ideal if you're at school/college. But, it also has the best space available should you be using it as a mum or to get you to the office and back with those daily essentials. Have you enjoyed this article?
