Dressing Up Like the Kardashians

Dressing Up Like the Kardashians
sisters. Since jumping onto our screens in 2007 we’ve seen them pretty much within every single magazine on the planet, not to mention on their TV spin-offs and celebrities of our own enjoying avidly discussing them on panel shows.
Whilst we might all feel different regarding the rifts they have (what sisters don’t?!), the drama they bring with them (okay, this might be the exception) and the product placement that from early doors filled their social media feeds (hello diet milkshakes and flat stomach teas) there is one thing we can all agree on = we wouldn’t mind owning each of their wardrobes. Yes, there might’ve been some disasters [see above] but there have also been some amazing, drop-mouth, pieces that we need – but just cannot afford to just sell our car to buy.

Here we’re going to talk through 10 of our favourite outfits worn by the Kardashians and how you too can copy their look at an affordable price. Keep your car, keep your wages – cause honey, this is all about style!

1.     Kardashian Colour Blocking

In the image below we can see the stunning combo that Kim wears whilst out for dinner. Whilst it may be an all-in-one underneath a nude skirt, we’ve had a nosey in our wardrobes and found a similar look for a smidgen of the cost. The Reggie Colour Block dress comes in five other colour-block-style shades and is currently all on sale for only £69 (which we reckon was probably what a glass of champers cost at that dinner!). Whilst the upper half of Kim’s outfit has fitted sleeves, we’ve opted for our flute style. The flute style adds a little extra oomph to proceedings!

2.  Spicing up the dinner date

Both Kim and Kourtney posed up a storm at the Violet Grey x Victoria Beckham beauty dinner in Beverly Hills with former Spice Girl VB.

Photographed at a beauty dinner event, both Kourtney and Kim Kardashian are pictured with Victoria Beckham.

Kourtney opted for a black leather-look cover-up coat, and Victoria looked ever-so-glamourous in a full white, black buttoned, suit. Whereas, Kim went for red carpet chic, in a black off-shoulder style dress in what looked like velvet. So, we delved once again into our archives and found a very similar (and luxurious) dress of ours that you can get your hands on for £139 – which is the Eponine Midi Velvet Dress. At present we have it in three shades: black, red and teal!

3.     Show Stopping Red Velvet Kardashian

Khloe stepped out in this stunning Marc Bouwer red velvet V-Neck dress at the 2020 Oscar Party, where she teamed it with dark lips and minimal jewellery. Similar to the Bouwer design our Marianne Velvet V-Neck features a waistband for cinching effect and a v-neckline - what's more there is also a concealed zip at the back and three-quarter length puffed sleeves.

We offer this beautiful fabric dress in three shades: black, teal and, of course, red.

4.     Wow at Date Night

Khloe, known for her formal glamourous outfits, chose this keyhole black LBD for a date night. Our Fifi Pencil dress has a similar style, being a high neck closing with open cut-out detail at the front as well as offering a long sleeve with cut detailing on the side, a back opening with vent and all in bi-stretch fabric. Unlike Khloe’s, our dress stops below the knee – pretty essential when it comes to British weather and puddle unpredictability. What more could you possibly want? Oh, more colours you say? Sorted! This cute date night dress comes in five colours: Cobalt Blue, Mauve Purple, Purple Magic, Glorious Teal and, of course, Black.

5.    Keeping up in the office

One of our favourite looks is one that you can carry from day to night. Whether it is just a simple change of accessory, a quick change in hairstyle or even just opting for flats instead of heels – it can look good with minimal effort. That’s why we love our Seed Fitzrovia Sleeveless Pencil Dress and it would seem that Kim also loves this kind of style. In a slate grey shade, just like Kim’s, it is the perfect go-to office look when you’re in meetings or attending events – but then if you choose to you can go casual!

Our Seed Fitzrovia comes in 16 shades. That's right, 16! Each just as perfect as the other, the Seed Fitzrovia is a wardrobe staple. We have Pacific Green, Black, Navy Blue, Sandy Cream, Acorn Brown, Crimson Pink, Garnet Red, Chrome Green, Citrus Green, Daffodil Yellow, Dawn Indigo, Magenta Mist, Palace Blue, Cardinal Red, Dawn Purple and, as shown, Slate Grey.

6.     Kardashian All Laced Up

Almost ten years ago now the Kardashians launched a collaboration with clothing firm Lipsy. Whilst the dress collection was said to be more LBD than anything else – it definitely didn’t stop us all wanting a piece of it! The sisters repeatedly launched a collaboration with Lipsy, up until fairly recently. In addition to the other pieces that they had to offer, one of our favourites was the lace dress – which was available in more than one shade at the time.

Just like the Lipsy range our Montana Lace Pencil also comes in a Yarrow Pink shade, as well as Ivory Cream, Hot Coral and Black. In a flattering design creation, the pencil dress is bi-stretch fabric - which is famed for its contouring characteristics and ensures the smoothest of silhouettes. What's more, each dress comes with long lace sleeves, a concealed zip located on the back and a vent at the centre back of the skirt to allow for ease of movement.

7.     Checking out the style.

Kourtney Kardashian stepped out in this formal, cute, LBD. With a check jacquard bengaline stretch, this three-quarter length sleeved dress is a go-to for both work and play. Just like with our Fitzrovia dress, the design can take you from the office and straight out for dinner. In a stunning check print, it also has a round neckline and is tailored to ensure a flattering fit. In addition, it comes with a concealed zip and a vent at the centre back to ensure ease of movement.

8.     Keeping Cover

A cute dress is never fully complete with a bolero for Kim Kardashian. A bolero not only adds both comfort and style but can also help provide an even silhouette.

Our cute bolero, at present, comes in a bright cobalt blue. It's stretch lace, so you're not restricted with movement and comes in small, medium and large.

9.     Standing Flower Power

Here we have a stunning floral print dress on Khloe Kardashian. This is from her original Lipsy collection that is no longer available.

Checking in our wardrobes, we have the Milford to compare it to! It “…takes the classic, figure-enhancing shape of our pencil dresses and combines it with two stunning and popular patterns to create a dream combination. It has a high waistband and tailored fit, a round neckline and long sleeves. Style it with a pair of shoes in a colour that compliments the chosen pattern.”

Coming in two different designs Floral Splash [pictured] and Linear Tulip, we also stock in it 5 sizes: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large.

10.     Peplum Perfect

And last, but by no means least, is the peplum. We couldn’t possibly write an article about the Kardashians without including them. A quick search of 'Kardashian peplum dresses' brings a vast amount of stunning designs and prints - and for a short period, the peplum for the Kardashians was a prime staple.

Our Helena Pleated Peplum [pictured] is designed with moss crepe fabric. It has a cute cap sleeve style, a round neckline and the sophisticated pleated peplum detail below the waist. It comes in three shades: baby pink, bright yellow and mint green. What's more, it is available in 5 sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL.
